Wash and trim scallops, slice in half. Combine beaten eggs and cream in a bowl. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Dip scallops in egg mixture, then corn meal or crumbs, and allow to set on aluminum foil for 5 minutes before cooking. Melt butter in a frying pan.
